The use of detachable connections in heat exchangers - analysis of variants and strength.

The paper presents the methodology of preparing screwed connections using three technologies and the analysis of the strength of the connections. The first process described is thermal drilling with threading, in which the drilling tool uses friction to increase the temperature of the material, allowing the hole to be plastically shaped. A thread is then created in this hole by plastic forming. The second method is usage of welded nuts. The third method is to make rivet nuts, which require making a preliminary hole and then installing the rivet nut in it and tightening it with a rivet gun. For the testing process, materials made of both carbon steel and stainless steel were used.
